Architecturally stunning, this Mediterranean home encompasses 3,200 square feet with inspiring interiors by Lovelace. The home features four bedrooms  and 4.5 baths, high end appliances, Italian barrel tile roofs, and pecky cypress balcony ceilings. There are 10’ceilings on every level and a stunning three story spiral freestanding staircase anchors all floors.

The covered Front Entry features terra cotta planters, verde benches, and arched double front doors in cypress. The Foyer features San Giorgio chandelier and sconces with carved leg demilune leather bench and carved wood upholstered guest chair. A dramatic bronze mirror over a black marble console leads you to the dramatic spiral staircase and the main levels of the home.

Upon arriving at the second level, you are greeted by a distinctive main Dining Room  featuring a soapstone chandelier which evokes a tropical feel. The massive custom designed sectional in leather and fabrics anchors the main living area around the cocktail ottoman and leather front entertainment console. Pendant lighting over the bar features capiz shell furthering the tropical infusion into the Mediterranean décor. The stunning powder room features barrel ceiling and faux finishing for a Grotto effect with shell encrusted mirror and sconces.

The  staircase leads you up again to the third floor Master Suite and the adorable granddaughter’s bedroom. Faux finishes, custom furniture, gorgeous fabrics, and dramatic lighting create rooms you never want to leave. Custom made furniture, stunning faux finishes, original art and beautiful fabrications in bedding and window treatments have all been included to create an elegant Mediterranean estate.

#9: RECLAIMED WOOD! If everything in your home was bought at the same time and has nearly the same age to it, chances are you’re struggling to find ways to add character and charm to your interior. Reclaimed wood may be your answer! 2012 saw a surge of reclaimed/recycled wood case goods flood the market and this trend will continue through 2013! Generally crafted from the wood of deconstructed factories, barns and old houses, reclaimed wood furniture and accessories are finding new relevance inside our homes. Beyond the eco-responsibility of reusing materials, it’s indisputable that reclaimed wood brings beauty and character that nothing else can. Each piece’s imperfections make it unique…no two pieces are alike. In the modern era, with the luster of high gloss lacquers, shiny tiles, flashy wallpapers, sparkling crystal or glass light fixtures, the worn matte texture of reclaimed wood furniture and accessories help to ground the space and provide balance so that everything doesn’t feel so manufactured. These pieces are literally diamonds in the rough and help balance new with old. Now that reclaimed wood goes beyond flooring and has extended to wall installations, furniture and accessories, as with most of the Trends I’ve talked about this year so far, a little bit goes a long way….balance and integration of reclaimed woods with industrial or modern styling is the key, otherwise you might find yourself living like Laura Ingalls! (just sayin’)

#8: WRAPPED FURNITURE! So many furniture companies are offering an assortment of wrapped case goods in 2013. Nothing adds a sophisticated eclecticism quite like an uph…olstered dresser or side table in a room. It automatically evokes a sense of contemporary whimsy whether wrapped in leather, linen, stainless, zinc, shagreen (sharkskin) or even burlap! You may not have paid attention to it before, but now you’ll definitely recognize just how much this trend is catching on!
